Julie Stewart, board member, 27J Education Foundation

Julie moved to the Brighton area shortly after graduating from CSU-Pueblo with a degree in Communications. Julie started working at United Power in 2003 and is currently the Community Outreach Specialist. In her role as Community Outreach Specialist, Julie is responsible for helping maintain United Power’s active role in the community and you will often see her at fairs, festivals, and parades. Julie also administers and coordinates youth activities at United Power. These activities include coordinating yearly scholarships and youth tour representatives, classroom safety demos, and energy efficiency education. For the last two years she has served as Camp Director for a Cooperative Leadership Camp that brings together students from Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, and Oklahoma, to learn about cooperatives and gain leadership skills. Julie also serves as the President for the 27J Education Foundation.

Julie is passionate about the Brighton community and loves to support it in any way she can. When Julie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Judd, and her son, Greg. Greg attends Brighton High School.
